This is a 36 months project funded by African Women’s Development Fund (AWDF) to sensitize the police, provide access to justice for sex workers who are violated as well as educate sex workers on their rights. The applicant’s will document cases of sexual violence occurrences among sex workers in order to engage in evidence-based advocacy for policy reform. The organisation will build partnerships and networks with CSOs that work on human rights and HIV, for joint advocacy efforts. Finally, the organisation will provide clinical care for sex workers who experience sexual assault, including emergency contraception, HIV and STI post-exposure prophylaxis and trauma informed mental health and psycho social support services.
