Uniting to End Violence Against Women and Girls: A Call to Action from Abia State

On a powerful and transformative day, advocates, partners, and community leaders from across Abia State came together to mark the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence. Under the theme:
“Recommitment, Accountability, Resourcing – Towards Beijing +30: Unite to End Violence Against Women and Girls,”
this event highlighted the urgent need to address the pervasive violence that threatens the rights and dignity of women and girls in our communities.

GWIHR Policy Level Workshop with Stakeholders, Sex Workers Leaders and other Civil Organisations.

GWIHR held a Policy Level Workshop with stakeholders, sex workers’ leaders, and other civil organizations to review laws and policies and improve policies on gender-based violence against sex workers and the implementation of protecting laws, such as the Violence Against People (Prohibition) (VAAP) Act, National Gender Policy and Sexual Offenses Act.
