Greater Women Initiative for Health and Right (GWIHR), in collaboration with UN Women and various civil society organizations in Nigeria, has conducted a comprehensive assessment of the violence affecting women and girls in the country. This initiative aims to transform harmful social norms and end gender-based violence (GBV).
January 12th sensitization workshop marked a significant success in our grassroots advocacy efforts against gender-based violence targeting female and transgender sex workers. Through engaging discussions and collaborative efforts, EMOVIC officers were empowered to drive a human-centered GBV response mechanism.
The successful advocacy campaign conducted to the Primary Health Care Management Board represents a significant milestone in the journey towards enhancing women’s sexual and reproductive health and rights in Rivers State.
