Brothels visit at Onna L.G.A. Akwa-Ibom State

On international sex workers right day, march 3rd, GWIHR Akwa-Ibom Team visit visit Brothels at Onne local government area Akwa-Ibom state which one of the brothels visited was Felix garden brothel.

Sensitization lectures was given to the community members basically on Fundamental Human rights, sex workers rights, difference types of rights and what to do when their rights is been violated, using the available IEC material for better understanding. This Team was lead by GWIHR Human Rights Desk officer, who also attends all the question asked by the community members.

At end of the section, challenges facing sex workers in the community was brought to the notice of the GWIHR’s Team, by the grieving community members. The section was completed with condom programming.
